What is IFS-Informed Coaching™?
A compassionate path to clarity, inner trust, and aligned change.

Whether you’re navigating a career transition, creative pivot, or personal crossroads, this approach helps you pause, turn inward, and listen to what’s happening inside.

IFS stands for Internal Family Systems, a model developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz. It recognizes that we’re all made up of “parts”, some that strive, some that worry, some that want to hide, and others that long for change. These parts aren’t problems to fix; they’re intelligent strategies your system developed for a reason.

At the center of it all is your Self energy, the calm, curious, grounded awareness that knows how to lead with creativity, compassion, and courage.

  • This style tends to work best for clients who are ready for depth and honesty, not quick fixes.

    It often fits people who:

    • Think and feel in nuance and want space to explore more than one truth inside them

    • Are self-reflective but still feel stuck, even after reading, thinking, or other support

    • Notice patterns in relationships (work, romantic, family) where they override their own needs, people-please, or absorb others' emotions — and want to understand why

    • Want clarity through awareness rather than being pushed into action too quickly

    • Notice inner conflict (wanting change while also feeling resistant, cautious, or tired) and don’t want that tension rushed

    • Are comfortable with slowness and silence when something real is unfolding

    • Want to strengthen self-trust, so the answers come from within—not from outside direction

It may not be the best fit if you’re looking for:

    • Clear advice, step-by-step solutions, or a highly directive style

    • External pressure, motivation, or rigid structure

    • Therapy or trauma-processing (IFS-informed coaching stays present-focused and future-oriented)

    • A tightly defined agenda every session, with constant forward drive

At its core, this work is for people who sense that clarity comes from presence, not performance, and who are willing to stay with what’s true long enough for it to speak.

  • As an IFS-informed coach, I don’t interpret or analyze your inner system. I guide you as you get to know your inner landscape for yourself. We might gently notice which part is most present or active, maybe the achiever, the imposter, the inner critic, or the one who’s afraid.

Rather than override or push past what’s here, we’ll slow down and stay with the experience: how it shows up in your body, what it’s protecting, and what it’s afraid would happen if it didn’t do its job.

You don’t need any prior experience with IFS. I’ll guide you with respectful prompts tailored to your journey, and together we’ll follow what arises.

Sometimes we’ll use imagery or metaphor. Other times, we’ll simply track the felt sense and let clarity emerge without forcing it. While I hold the container, everything happens at your pace.

    Clients often describe:

    • A quieter mind and stronger inner trust

    • Clearer connection to what really matters

    • A more respectful relationship with themselves

    • Movement that feels aligned, not forced

IFS-Informed Coaching is not therapy. We don’t unpack trauma or dwell in the past. We focus on awareness, self-leadership, and meaningful, tangible shifts in your outer life. If something arises that needs deeper therapeutic support, we’ll slow down, ground, and I’ll encourage you to work with a licensed clinician alongside coaching.

  • Map + Method + Self-Leadership

A focused entry-point for people who want to understand their inner patterns, relate to themselves with more steadiness, and make clearer choices—without being hijacked by anxiety, self-criticism, or shutdown.

What we do in four sessions

    Together we’ll:

    • Map what’s happening inside (your recurring patterns, protective strategies, and internal conflicts)

    • Build a repeatable method for meeting activation in real time (so you can return to clarity and choice)

    • Strengthen Self-leadership—the part of you that can stay present, curious, and grounded even when other parts are loud

    What you can expect

This work is especially valuable if you're navigating a transition, noticing patterns in relationships that exhaust you, or feeling pulled between what you think you should do and what actually fits.

By the end of four sessions, most clients leave with:

    • A clearer internal “map” and language for what they experience

    • Greater ability to notice patterns earlier (before they take over)

    • A practical way to work with common experiences like anxiety, inner criticism, avoidance, or indecision

    • More internal cohesion—less fighting with themselves, more capacity to move forward

    Format + investment

    • 4 sessions (60 minutes each): $750

    • Typically weekly or every other week

    • Two check-ins via email in-between sessions

    After the starter series

If you’d like to continue, ongoing sessions are available at $200 per 60-minute session.

“Working with Asya has been a breath of fresh air. She is so peaceful, gives you space to think and asks the kinds of questions that genuinely open your mind and self-awareness. After our sessions, I found myself more aware of my actions and the deeper reasons behind my reactions. I was able to name all the different conflicting parts. She never imposed her perspective; her approach was kind and respectful throughout.”

— Ayka Williams, Designer

“In four sessions, Asya helped me relate to my parts with more respect. Instead of fighting it, I can hear my inner critic without it running the show, and I feel more grounded in my day-to-day choices. Her guidance is gentle, and I’ve really benefited from our work together.”

— H.S., Artist and Teacher
