Over the past year at Randstad Risesmart, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients who were suddenly facing something they didn’t plan for: a layoff.
For many, this was more than just a job change — it was an emotional earthquake. A loss of routine, income, and identity all at once. In those first few days and weeks, there’s often a mix of uncertainty, self-doubt, and pressure to “bounce back” fast.
My role has been to walk alongside people through that vulnerable in-between — helping them regain clarity, update their professional story, and step back into the job market with tools, confidence, and a plan.
Through this work, I’ve seen firsthand that job search support needs to be both practical and human. It’s not enough to have a perfect résumé if you’re struggling to tell your story in an interview.
